Of the last 10 years of making records, Wilding had this to say…

“What time is it?”

It was a considered response. One formed from arduous hours scribbling words onto screens and cornflake packets. One based on days fretting over minor (minor) chord changes. Packaging dreams into songs. Like squeezing a bird-like freedom into the shell of a tortoise. It was a songwriter’s response. Fed by the perplexing chemistry of music and lyric, movement and vibration, day and night. As trivial as teatime, as wonderful as time.

To celebrate 10 years of Wilding, Half A Cow Records is releasing a 20-track compilation of his songs titled ‘Hello, my name is Wilding’. The collection spans the playful Beatlesque beginnings of his debut album ‘Bird’s Bread’ through to last year’s beautifully expressed concept album ‘The Death of Foley’s Mall’.

It also includes the brand-new song ‘Close Your Eyes’ recently unearthed from the ‘Molecules To Moons’ recording sessions.
